This Artwork is an artwork that has actually never been carried out by Marcel Duchamp himself, but by his sister 'Suzanne' who he asked to carry it out for him. He posted a book and instructions to her home and told her to hang it outside her porch or somewhere where it will be exposed to the conditions of everyday weather. She did so and throughout time the book got soaked and rained on, shaken in the wind and the print faded due to sun exposure. I think this is a very interesting work as it deals with the notion of the force that weather has on objects or even living things. It had an unforseen ending not knowing how strong the force of weather will and can be and if and how well the book was going to survive this kind of force!
The book was left there for a month but documented after and maybe even during the act!
