My Final Organic Mask for photographer Paul Strand
This image is my final image I have chosen for Project 3. Although this image comes from my developmental shots I have to say that this framing colour and form are by far the most successful when re-considering my concept and idea. I like the crop and I think it looks a lot more organic than when far away looking at the overall structure. I do like the image below though but only because it is a wire frame. Maybe if I would have more time I would try more and more layouts experimenting with wire frames and cropping but I think this is already successful and a good solution for Project 3.
This is my final layout concerning the organic mask. I wanted to try and see what the mask looked like in a black wire frame. In this layout the countless covering and the countless layers of my object become visible and I have to say I love this image. i think I will try layering both over my original portrait of Paul Strand so he wears the mask and that I can evaluate weather I like the end product or not. Tho construct the mask I used lots of layers and kept transforming the individual layers through twisting and smoothing which made the model aesthetically more successful.
This is my final render of my object using smooth glass as the material. I like the outcome of this brief as I think it matches my concept and proposal and also my mechanical model has really become organic and totally different from what it was before.
