This render shows my first step on Rhino. I missunderstood the brief and started modelling the mask i wanted my potrait to wear. Very organic looking and the positioning of it reminds me of a deers horns. I started to model the mask when i realized that the brief asked to draw the skin and bones, hence our site, first and then using the drape tool to cover and create another or more refined version of the mask by covering etc rather than literally drawing the mask. So i re-thought my idea and started to research mechanical looking things. This is because i see my potrait as the mechanical component of my idea due to the mechanical working processes that Paul Strand used as a photographer in the early 20th century. so after re-thinking my process of project 3 I modelled a new more mechanic looking version of my iconic person.Sunday, June 08, 2008
